as we go on... we rememberr....

The one thing that I really enjoyed about this class was the atmosphere that everyone contributed to in their own little way. There were many topics that I have heard so many views on, that I truly have a new perspective when it comes to looking at both sides of a story.
This class has definitely been a big eye opener to me with so many situations that I did not even know existed.

Let us take it back to, "In Cuba I was a German Shepherd".... it opened my eyes to see Cuba's hardships. It also opened up my eyes to see both sides of a story. Like when you showed us the movie 'Fidel', it taught me how others might percieve Fidel Castro as a hero who just generally ended up having no choice but to turn out into a so called "dictator" or how a movie director can manipulate people to believe certain things.

I have also learned patience when it comes to convincing anyone of my ideas or even compromising.

Also when it came time for the presidential election, I would never bothered to research why I am voting for Barack Obama but thanks to you, you made me actually be concerned with what a politician believes in and what can actually be done about any crisis. You made me question what seemed to be correct.

You made me start being concerned about marginalized communities, even though I was assigned an almost impossible subject to find information on (the Amish), although I do think that we should have been assigned more time to complete this project. After I finished researching the marginalized community and saw the other presentations I feel that I should and I will become more aware, concerned, and provide my help with any kind of marginalized community.

I will truly miss this class and the people in it and I will always cherish what you have taught me. Thank you Natasha Olivera. Peace out homie g, keep it real, don't change, keep writing in your blog. OOO and I heard you plan on writing a book, so let me knoww!!! I'll buy like 50 copies lol.

As we go on... We remember....all the good times we had together.... and as our lives change.. from whatever.......
